Saturday, Nataleigh was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. It was a very special day that she had anticipated for months.
In preparation she read the entire Book of Mormon and we had lots of family home evenings about the Plan of Happiness and the covenants we make at baptism.
She was baptized and confirmed by her father, David. Ethan gave a talk on baptism and it was very tender to watch him share his testimony with his sister. There wasn't a dry eye in the room.
After the baptism, Uncle Cameron, talked about the Holy Ghost and shared stories and examples of how the Holy Ghost can warn us, protect us, and teach us. He spoke with such a strong testimony.
I was so touched by the number of people who came to support Nataleigh. Her friends Mia, Ruth, Phoebe, and Alyssa came. The entire Wright family was there as well as Natalie, Lincoln and Brigham Neilson. The Hamblins, Natalie's Fruit Heights primary teachers, came as did Samantha Johnson. We were so glad the Nielson and Rasmussen cousins were there as well as Aunts Elizabeth & Brooke; Uncle Cameron & Aunt Jana, and Uncle John & Aunt Melora. Grandpa Marty & Grandma Carolyn came too. We had a wonderful time and I am so proud of Nataleigh and her decision to follow Jesus Christ's example and be baptized.
