Nataleigh and Joycee

I really wish I had a sister for Nataleigh.
I treasure my relationships with my five sisters and, despite our best efforts, it doesn't look like Nataleigh will even have a sister.  That's okay, I guess.  There are a lot of people in the world who don't have sisters and they turn out just fine.

What it does mean is that I have to work a little bit harder to provide opportunities for her to engage with other girls and help her understand some of the nuances of female relationships.

Luckily, she is blessed with good friends and female cousins who help fit the bill.
Recently,  John and Melora visited with their daughter, Joycee.  One night at dinner Joycee captivated Nataleigh in a game of toss the cup.  It is really wonderful to watch Nataleigh interact with younger cousins.  She is attentive and engaged in their world of play.

First, Nataleigh would put Joycee's cup on her tray...

Joycee would survey the cup and...

Toss the cup off the tray.

Nataleigh would fetch the cup and return it to the tray only to have

Joycee toss it overboard, again.

They played this game for a long time.

And they both had the best time!

It was fun for all of us to watch them play their game and watch them forge a relationship.

We are so grateful for cousins!
