My fabulous artsy, athletic, and sensitive sister Mackenzie marries an equally athletic, talented, and smart Ben Portwood. These two love to have fun!
Their retro-inspired wedding attire was head to toe 70's; from the baby's breath wreath to the wooden platform shoes. When we gave them a hard time about Ben's corduroy suit and the dress Kenzie found in a vintage store for $30, they just laughed. They really laughed when we pulled out Mom and Dad's engagement photos and discovered that, yup, my Dad wore a corduroy jacket for his engagement photo. It all comes around.
I actually love her color scheme of ivory and gold. Everything was so soft and feminine.
They started the day with a wedding brunch at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. They married later that afternoon in a private ceremony in the LDS Temple in Newport Beach. Afterwards the married couple celebrated with a reception at the Dana Point Yacht Club. What a beautiful couple! Tomorrow I'll share photos from the reception.
