Rising from the dead

Oh dear friends!  

It is February 1st and, perhaps, like you, I am still at a loss as to where January went.

Multiple times recently I've made a pact with myself to blog life while it was happening, or even to dedicate some time to catch up.  Well, that time has come.  It might take me a few days to play catch-up, but what is life if we can't share it.
