Neighborhood Traditional Party

In October we got a letter from the Neighborhood Christmas Committee.  They encourage neighbors that instead of giving neighborhood gifts, the committee collect the money we would have used and donate it to various special causes.  We welcomed the idea.  I was amazed to learn how much money they collected and how many different people we were able to help.  It's a great way to help each other in need.  The other part of the plan is that the neighborhood gathers for a hayride to see the neighborhood lights, sing some Christmas carols, and enjoy hot chocolate and donuts.  Although it was REALLY cold on the assigned night, we still had a great time.
Oliver was bundled up as warmly as we could get him.
