St. George Temple Lights

Sunday, December 9th

We were actually suppose to be in Salt Lake for a Rasmussen family Christmas party.  However, a wet and windy storm blew in and wrecked havoc in Central Utah.  We decided it was best to stay home.  Our plans had us driving in the dark on wet and icy roads for an 8 hour round-trip in order to be with family for less than 24 hours.  It just didn't make sense.  We were really bummed to miss the party, but when we read the news of cars running off the road, we knew we had made the right choice.

Instead of a party, we took the kids to see the lights and nativity at the St. George Temple.

This picture tells a lot.  It was really cold.  Jacob didn't want to be there.  In fact, he was very concerned about David who was circling the block with Oliver in the car because as soon as we got out of the car, Oliver started to cry.  Pretty soon Jacob was crying, too.  It was one of those "I've seen the sewing machine" moments Tevia has in Fiddler on the Roof.
